What is the
Numeracy Alliance?
The EPIC Numeracy Alliance is a two-year hybrid professional learning cohort designed for 3-8 & Algebra I math teachers and leaders. Through in-person learning events, virtual coaching, communities of practice, and individualized support, participants build the content knowledge and instructional skills that lead to lasting classroom change, at no cost to teachers or districts.

Talk to a Coach: EPIC Numeracy Office Hours
To help educators and leaders learn more about the EPIC Numeracy Alliance and determine whether it's the right fit, we offer Coach's Office Hours for a brief Google Meet. We'll walk through the program, talk through what participation would look like for your school or district, and answer any questions you have. Whether you're just exploring or ready to enroll, we'd love to connect.

Stronger mathematics.
An independent evaluation by Dr. Lisa Duffin of Western Kentucky University tracked EPIC Numeracy Alliance teachers across two full years. The results: measurable growth in content knowledge, a documented shift in daily instructional practice, and a cohort that stayed engaged from start to finish.

Two Years of Learning,
Built Around You
The Numeracy Alliance combines four interconnected learning structures to support every educator in the classroom, online, and beyond.
Learning Together
In-person PL events held at regional sites across Kentucky twice a year, plus a culminating summer graduation at the close of the two-year program. Virtual Patterns Live sessions fill the gaps ...five, 1-hour virtual sessions each year.
Learning Individually
About 3 hours of asynchronous learning each month, delivered through a Carnegie Learning Patterns course tailored to your grade band...intermediate (3–5) or middle grades (6-8 & Algebra I).
Communities of Practice
Two 1-hour virtual CoP sessions each year... one in the fall, one in the spring... to connect with colleagues, share what's working, and build collective momentum.
Customized Coaching
One-on-one coaching with EPIC math coaches throughout both years, focused on bringing your learning directly into classroom practice.

Turn Your PL Into a Rank Change
EPIC Numeracy Alliance participants have the opportunity to earn a salary rank change through Elevate Academy's graduate-level program, with a partial scholarship provided through Carnegie Learning.
